The latest 2/24/10 from Florida...Susan: The cover arrived an hour ago. Dick already has it on his boat and he couldn't be happier. Says the fabric is perfect (WeatherMax) and the fit is great. July 15th from Jeff Swick, with his Vermont Dory- a first for us...

Bag arrived today.  It is already on and it fits like a glove.  If you need testimonial for any other prospective Vermont Dory owner I will be glad to provide it. Leaving the stern open was a great idea. It made putting the cover on so much easier,   Right now I believe one more inch in depth at the stern would have been good because a little of the wood on the stern is insisting on poking itself into the sun but I believe I can correct this if I take a little time to take the boat off the frame it rests on to put the cover on without the interference the frames supports.  Regardless, I am very impressed at how the cover fits.  You are a miracle worker.  To me taking someone elses measurements of a product, sight unseen, and create a cover that fits like this does is nothing short of a miracle.  I will take the photos of the boat with and without the cover and e-mail them to you in a day or two.    I only wish I had knew some folks who needed your talents.  Should the opportunity arise I will not hesitate to sing your praises.Thank you for your patience and sewing expertise.

received the cover Thursday around 6:00pm and opened it out on the porch.  My wife used to make all s and commented on the excellent workmanship – zigzag stitching and double faced at ends for greater strength.  Very nice!  Finally stopped raining, so I got to put it on the canoe today – great fit!

The canoe cover you have sent is simply perfect, fits snuggly and looks cool. I cannot understand how you were losing sleep with the attention to detail and workmanship you have put into my cover. But now that it is over I hope you are able to relax about it. I will send photos the next time I get to the workshop.

 I had no problem at all with the cover and my partner loved the racing stripes .... the clips I referred to are those attached to bungees going to the draw cord.  My first cover (probably 1989) came with metal hooks and without bow and stern reinforcement where the cloth failures finally did
occur.  I was pleased to find the top bow slit was still there and even a bit longer....I find it to be an important aid in pulling on the cover.  The double paddle cover with the top draw string and handle straps was very nice and has also evolved over the years. Dear Susan,
I know you are on vacation but I have to tell you it was a perfect fit. I put it on the canoe and then , put it on the Subaru and took off at about 75 and it just hummed along.
 You should be very proud of your workmanship and accuracy. I will wear it with pride to the big Wooden Boat Show in Alexandria, Minnesota. You betcha !!

Hi Sue -
Many thanks for the canoe bag in forest green for my Wenonah Adirondack.  I just got a chance to put it on, as we had a blizzard this past week with 30" of snow.  The canoe cover fits perfectly, looks terrific, and I love the overall design.  You have thought of everything - right down to the little "fly" in the bow, where a line can exit the cover to tie the canoe to the front grill of my Ford Ranger when car-topping. 
The color is perfect - quiet and unobtrusive.  The canoe will blend right into the evergreens that are in back of the canoe rack.

Dear Bag Lady,
Just got our Northwind canoe cover yesterday (Gary Wi. order, but I'm the one that tracked you down). It is fabulous, fits like a glove, and definitely well worth the price!

Nothing else on my web search even looked remotely close. I was afraid I'd have to make one myself, but that would be reinventing the wheel, for me.

I am really happy with it, and I'm damn picky.
