| WATCH FOR OUT 2010 SCHEDULE SOONLessons are on-going in both canoe and kayak. If you would like to get a group together, or would like a private session, please call Sue 860-456-4906 Annual Meeting of Columbia Canoe Club- Wed. March 31st, 6:30 social, 7:00 meeting begins Buchanan Auditorium at the Mansfield Library. General information and program by Sue Audette, entitled: "Emails I Have Known and Loved"! Sue has answered email for the Old Town Canoe Co. for years and will share the best messages she has received. Lots of funny pictures, lots of fun. Columbia Canoe Club members may also pick up parking passes and renew membership at this meeting. Refreshments will be served and we need volunteers.
What happened to your retail store? March 2005 Dear Friends, After twenty- three years in business, Vinny and I have decided it is time to retire from the retail storefront and and continue only the Bag Lady part of our business. She will continue to make canoe and kayak covers and is thriving. Closing our retail shop was a hard decision. We are healthy (within reason), happily married (36 years! within reason), and really anxious to spend some time doing what we love most: paddling. Thus, it is time to bring our tenure here to a close. Although we had hoped to pass Water Works on to another buyer, no suitable party has been found. We appreciate all your support- for the friends we have made are the best part of being in this business. Despite our retiring from the retail business, we want to assure you that those who have purchased or will purchase boats or equipment will still be supported. Although rare, if you experience any trouble with the equipment purchased, we will help you in every way we can and make ourselves available to you. That policy has always been what we are all about. You may certainly contact us at anytime. Water Works will still be an entity but the business will concentrate on the Bag Lady products and no longer work out of the store. The website will still be up and running and we will be accessible for assistance and/ or guidance if necessary. We thank you for your support over the years and wish you well. Love,Sue and Vinny |
