simply use your back arrow within the web page. Connecticut Canoeing, Sea Kayaking and Paddling Map- this is self explanatory. A great site Friends of Mansfield Hollow- link is temporarily out of order, wait until we ascertain new address... (thanks Carl) ...a group dedicated to the protection, preservation, and improvement of our local state park. Goodwin Conservation Center, Hampton, CT- We like these folks as they love to paddle. The staff offers a variety of programs throughout the year. Very family oriented. Activities year round. Check them out. ConnYak- CT paddlers can find upcoming events and discover how to become a member of the club Letterboxing- a fun way to see some of the areas you may find yourself in. Some by land, some by water. Many in this area. Much like a scavenger hunt or orienteering. Few skills needed, no equipment to speak of. Lots of fun for the family. Tuesday Night Paddlers- a group of folks who paddle every Tuesday night out of various locations. Not necessarily novice excursions. Should have some skill and lifejackets are mandatory. CT DEP- Department of Environment Protection site offers a variety of information including some of the best access maps for canoe and kayaking. Check it often. Willimantic Whitewater Partnership- the best thing to happen to town in a long time.. read more Willimantic River Alliance- group devoted to the health and well-being of the Willimantic River. Site has maps and a variety of descriptive information about the river. Housatonic Valley Paddle
Club- encourages paddling in the Housatonic Valley and surrounding area of
our state. Formed in 2001 with monthly meeting the 2nd Monday of each month.
Northern
Forest Canoe Trail
and
other native trails- this site shows the first 50 miles of the 740 Northern
Forest Canoe trail in Rangeley, Maine, as well as many others. Trail traverses
from Old Forge, NY to Fort Kent, Maine. Daily Flows In Connecticut - a good look at the historical flows as well.
Army Corps of Engineers-NE sites-
information of all sorts if you can just have time to sift through, or
understand it all. Boston Outrigger Assoc. dedicated to expanding the sport of Hawaiian Outrigger Canoe Racing in New England. Rhode Island Canoe and Kayak Association- our neighboring state's governing body for paddlesport. Champaign Canoeing- old friends Keech and Ann LeClair are leading trips all over the place. They also have instruction and outings. With lots of experience, you won't go wrong if you join them.
NATIONALLY American Rivers- devoted to preservation of our most threatened rivers.

State of CT DEP site with all kinds of marine information. Surf Reports and lots of good info on kayaking including boat reviews. Extreme Kayak Fishing- wild things for wild folks, great to look at.
